DEDLOK Minder secures your documents and electronic data device and is designed to be installed in any internal timber or steel framed wall of your home, office, caravan or motorhome and weighs 1.4kg. The Cartridge is completely removable to add or remove contents and replace at your leisure. It takes less than three seconds to remove making this feature a great benefit in case the premises needs to be urgently abandoned.

You have the option of permanently storing your external data backup device in the cradle and running the cable to the computer. Simply remove the round disc in the front panel then insert the cable protector. If you experience a loss of your computer, your backed up data will remain protected.

A D.I.Y. Installation Pack is included and contains everything you will need (except tools) to install this product. Alternatively, you may find a nominated installer in your area on this website.

Installation

For the purpose of describing the structural wall components, the plasterboard or other lining is not shown.

Drawing describes the position of the Terminal when installed to a left wall stud (1) and the top of the wall nogging (2).

  1. Blue arrows describes where the Terminal will be anchored for a left wall stud installation.
  2. Green arrows describes holes provided for anchoring to the TOP of the wall nogging.
  3. Red arrows indicate anchor holes provided for a right wall stud installation.

How to Insert Cartridge (Use)

Drawing describes the method of inserting the Cartridge into the Terminal.

  1. With one hand, tilt the Cartridge back towards you.
  2. Slide into position.
  3. Tilt forward to latch over the Latching Tab 6.

Wall Frame Locating Probe

Not sure if Minder can be installed in your house?

To accommodate the Terminal you require a minimum of 80mm from the surface of the wall where you wish to install it, to the rear surface of the wall lining of the adjoining room (7). This can be established by using the Wall Frame Locating Probe which is included in the installation kit provided.

The probe can be purchased online with Installation Instructions so you can consider at your leisure the preferred location and suitability. Pay only for post and packaging.
